TRIAL LESSONS T&C's

The following terms and conditions apply to all students trialing under Making Music Academy.

 

Payment of your invoice indicates you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions. 

 

Please note, upon completing a trial lesson if students are offered a place and enrol for private term tuition they will be required to formally accept the terms and conditions of Making Music Academy.

 

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any concerns or questions. 

Trial Lessons

  • Available to all new students, trial lessons are a 30-minute lesson and a great option to meet your teacher, try out the lessons and ask any questions you may have. ​

Availability 

  • Trial lesson times will be offered based on availability within the teaching schedule.

  • The time of your trial lesson may be offered as a permanent lesson time and will be held for 24 hours after the trial for you to consider enrolment.

Payment

  • Trial lessons are $35 for the 30-minute lesson. Travel/convenience charges are waived.

  • You will receive an invoice for the trial. Payments are to be made prior and are non-refundable.

Lesson Cancellation 

  • In the event a trial lesson is cancelled by the student, the lesson may be rescheduled within two weeks of the cancelled lesson. If the lesson is unable to be rescheduled by this time for any reason the cancelled trial lesson will be forfeited. Rescheduled lesson times will be offered based on what lesson times are available in the teaching schedule. 

  • If a student no longer wishes to proceed with their trial lesson they will forfeit any payments made. 

  • Students who need to end a lesson short for any reason including feeling unwell understand that the remainder of that lesson time is forfeited.

Punctuality

  • Students are expected to be prepared in good time for the start of their lesson. If a student is late, their lesson duration will be reduced to adhere to the end of the lesson time and the teacher's schedule. 

  • In the rare event the teacher is late (for students travelled to), the lesson will go overtime by the time missed (if possible) or a small discount to future lessons enrolled for will be offered.

Please note:

  • The allocated lesson time includes any time that may be spent discussing information or feedback with the parent or guardian of a student. 

  • If lessons are being held from the student's home lessons must be conducted in a communal area.

  • Please avoid eating and drinking in your lessons (apart from water).
