PUBLIC GROUP LESSONS T&C's

The following terms and conditions apply to all students who are registered to attend public group lessons with Making Music Academy. It is your responsibility to ensure you review and familiarise yourself with these terms and conditions.

Payment of your invoice confirms your agreement to these terms and conditions.

Term dates

  • Roughly follow the West Australian Department of Education. Term dates will be communicated via Making Music Academy via email or can be found on the home page of the website. Public holidays are honoured.

Lesson Fees - Invoices

  • You will be invoiced for your $10 trial lesson.

  • After your trial, you will receive an invoice for future lessons of the term - this must be paid prior to attendance of the next group lesson.

Lesson Cancellations

  • We do not offer makeup lessons if a student misses a group lesson. This is due to the fact that the lesson is still offered and runs with the students that can attend. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances happen and therefore up to two lessons missed will be credited to the following term. Students who miss more than two sessions will forfeit any of the other lesson fees. If a student withdraws during the term or at the end of the term any outstanding lesson fees will be forfeited.

  • In the event the teacher needs to cancel a lesson it will be credited to the following term. However, if a student withdraws for the following term they will forfeit the lesson fee/s.

  • Under any circumstance that the student imminently withdraws after making payment they understand that any outstanding lesson fees will be forfeited. This is due to the fact that the group lessons have a student capacity and if a student secures a place they have filled a spot that may not be filled by another enrolment for the rest of the term.

  • Students who need to end a lesson short for any reason including feeling unwell understand that the remainder of that lesson time is forfeited.

Punctuality and Student Safety

  • Students are expected to be prepared in good time for the start of their lesson. If a student is late, they will be invited to join the rest of the class which will still conclude at the scheduled time.

  • If you are late to collect your child please send a quick text to 0432 673 302 to let us know. The student will remain in the duty of care of the teacher and the student will be invited to sit and watch the following class until collected. If it is the final class of the day, the teacher will begin packing up and closing up the premises as we often have private students to travel to after the group sessions and are on a timeframe.

  • Please collect your child from inside the gates of the premises. The teacher is not liable or responsible for ensuring the student leaves the premises and is collected in the car park by a family member or carer.
